Bruno Donzelli was born in Naples in 1941. Donzelli's pictorial production is divided into pictorial cycles, among which we recall “ Ormare”, “ Siparietti impertinenti”, “ Specchiarsi nel cuore dell’Arte”, “ Nuove piazze d’Italia”, “ Morandina”,“ Sironiana”. Initially inspired by the language of Pop and Cobra, by the late sixties Donzelli had begun painting of an expressionist nature. He then developed a personal stylistic code, which, without forgetting the illustrious Masters of the recent past, reached full artistic maturity and international recognition in more recent decades. The language is ironic, irreverent, the colors bright and vivid. The figuration, bordering on comics, is playful, childish and fresh. His narrative painting is very lively, feeding on astute reinterpretations, rather than references.
