The auction winner will take home this artwork by artist La Fille Bertha (Alessandra Pulixi). Using a variety of techniques and supports, his work is expressed through art, fashion and illustration. His works have been exhibited in various places, from "La Triennale di Milano" to "Museo Maxxi" in Rome. Fille Bertha's personal artistic expression is strongly linked to emotional states, the subconscious and the dream-like dimension.

"Through my work I wanted to interpret and elaborate the theme of "happiness" by emphasizing the concept of "self-realization" and the ability to live life as "protagonists", realizing one's own potential and motivations and giving rise to one's own "identification" of an individual personality, charging it within the concepts from Jung's Theory and Maslow's humanistic psychology".

This work aims to be a "ode" to the development of independence, through freedom, introspective ability, struggles and the strengthening of one's own resources. The protagonist of this work is a female-like creature in a garden. Flowers represent what can grow if you put in passion, commitment and effort. The balanced vases symbolize containers, places in which to elaborate and develop one's potential.

The Cause

Il ricavato della vendita delle magliette andrà a sostenere il progetto WE GO 2, cofinanziato dall’Unione europea e realizzato da ActionAid insieme ad altre cinque organizzazioni in Italia, Grecia, Bulgaria e Spagna.

L’obiettivo del progetto è quello di lavorare sull’empowerment economico delle donne che hanno subìto violenza domestica, rafforzando i sistemi di supporto a livello locale, nazionale ed europeo a loro destinati e la promozione della collaborazione fra il settore pubblico e quello privato.

Grazie a questo contributo, saranno realizzate diverse attività come: percorsi ad hoc per le aziende e i loro dipendenti per aumentare la consapevolezza e la conoscenza del problema della violenza di genere; implementazione di percorsi di empowerment economico per le donne che hanno subìto violenza domestica finalizzati a favorire il loro ingresso nel mondo del lavoro; training per rafforzare le competenze degli operatori e dei volontari impegnati nelle attività di risposta a situazioni di violenza domestica.
