Michele Cascella held his first personal exhibition with his brother Tommaso in the rooms of the Milanese Artistic Family.
In 1919, he held a personal exhibition in Rome at the Bragaglia Gallery and on that occasion met Carlo Carrà, thanks to whom the exhibition went to Milan where it was displayed at the Lidel Gallery. In 1920 he settled permanently in Milan.
In 1937, he was awarded the gold medal at the International Exhibition. From 1928 to 1942 his work appeared at every edition of the Venice Biennale, where a personal room was dedicated to the artist at the 1948 edition.
After the Second World War, his began to exhibit abroad more frequently with his works on display in Paris, Buenos Aires, and the United States.
