Take home "Ragazza con Cappello", artist's proof by Heinz Schattner countersigned on the back. This black and white artwork was created by the famous fashion photographer in New York in 1988.
Born in Germany, Schattner matured artistically in Paris and London and has always loved Italy, where he currently lives and works. He was introduced to the world of photography by internationally renowned artists with whom he had the chance to work as an assistant from a young age. He first set out on his own in the world of fashion. Among his first important collaborations are the Italian magazines Vogue Bambini and Vogue Uomo belonging to the Cond Nast group, followed by numerous others around the world. Further on in his career he became artistic director of television advertising campaigns, as well as creator of photographic books.
Known for his instinctive creativity that combines an impeccable technique with the most absolute freedom of image, during his long career he has put his name to several advertising campaigns as creative director, distinguishing himself for his ability to tell stories in a clear way with the power to transport the observer into a dreamlike and surreal world.
