Democratic Republic of Congo, Massisi, September 2010: Rwandan Hutu refugee. The Rwandan Hutus built this village in the depths of the Massisi forest to shelter from attacks by the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FARDC). The offensive is carried out by Congolese army soldiers commanded by Rwandan Tutsi officers, officially to put an end to the raids and violence of which the Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda (FDLR) are accused. In fact, all armed groups in the region, including the army, commit rape and pillage. Many Tutsi officers believe that the Hutus are to be considered guilty for the Rwandan genocide up to the seventh generation.
