Larry Bird is considered one of the greatest basketball players to have ever lived, as well as one of the best shooters in NBA history and played his entire career for the Boston Celtics, winning three world titles with them.
Together with his friend and rival Magic Johnson, he left an indelible mark on the NBA in the 1980s, earning himself the nickname "The Legend". Magic Johnson completely revolutionised basketball: he played the playmaker position, a role that was traditionally taken up by the shortest and most agile player of a team.
