Gina Lollobrigida, born Luigia Lollobrigida, was an Italian actress. Considered one of the leading actresses of Italian cinema, she was directed by great Italian directors such as Alessandro Blasetti, Vittorio De Sica, Pietro Germi, Alberto Lattuada, Carlo Lizzani, Mario Monicelli and Mario Soldati. Among the foreign directors were Vincent Sherman, John Huston, Carol Reed, King Vidor, Melvin Frank, Robert Z Leonard, alongside world-famous stars such as Rock Hudson, Tony Curtis, Yul Brynner, Anthony Quinn, Sean Connery, Robert Alda, Burt Lancaster, Errol Flynn, Frank Sinatra, Humphrey Bogart and David Niven. Over the course of her career she received numerous awards, including a Golden Globe for the film Come September, seven David di Donatello awards, three Silver Ribbons, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, as well as a BAFTA nomination for Bread, love and jealousy.

The Cause

History Life Onlus was born out of a group of young volunteers’ passion for history and culture.

Our belief is that knowledge is the heritage of us all and that every one of us should know his/her own past in order to become a better version of himself/herself.

At the center of our activities are the protection, promotion and enhancement of culture and art in all of their forms and expressions. To this end, one of our main goals for 2017 is to create a fund for scholarships for deserving but economically disadvantaged students.

We believe that knowledge is a right of everyone: every citizen of the world should have the possibility to access it, independently from his/her economic situation, because only instruction makes men truly free.
