The MTB and cyclo-cross rider, Marco Aurelio Fontana (www.fontanaprorider.it), who is the world champion and Olympic bronze medal holder in Cross Country, has decided to auction his shoes to raise funds to support his friend Walter Belli, an athlete who was forced into hospital in October due to a serious training accident that led to him breaking his second and third vertebra.

Through the Marina Romoli Onlus (www.marinaromolionlus.org), a related foundation, the proceeds of the auction will be donated to Walter to aid him in his recovery.
