Artwork by Pietro Annigoni
Made on ceramic and signed by the artist.
Dimensions: 52x42 cm.
The first of Annigoni's solo work was displayed in 1932 and featured a true-to-life style. By masterfully using the ancient Reinassance pictorial techniques, he creates his artistic journey in clear contrast with the Modernism and Postmodernism styles.
From 1966 to 1988, his career was characterized by a sequence of prestigious exhibitions. It's worth mentioning some Annigoni’s Italian frescos painted throughout the country - the Montecassino Abbey, the Convent of San Marco in Florence, the Sant'Antonio Basilica in Padua.
One of his most acclaimed artworks is the painting cycle of the San Michele Arcangelo parish church in Ponte Buggianese.
