Dismaland Souvenir "Flower Thrower".
A framed cardboard from the ephemeral Dismaland park.
- Size: 20 x 25cm
- Hand numbered to only 50 copies
In 2015, Banksy created a large-scale installation called Dismaland Bemusement Park, an immersive and fully functional amusement park that contained political commentary on wealth distribution, sexism and the UK government. The park, which ran from August to September 2015, was funded by Banksy himself. The park sold stencils created by Banksy to reproduce his works, the project was called "Enjoy your free art", in criticism of the art market.
In and beyond Dismaland park, various artists have created graffiti on cardboard, canvas or banknotes using these original stencils.
The works are not attributable to Banksy. They are souvenirs and documentary evidence of the witty and original park created by the British artist.
