Alfredo Pini was born in Mirandola, Italy in 1958. After working for years as an accountant, he decided to follow his passion: painting. In the '80s, he opened the Lacerba Gallery in Ferrara, which he continues to manage today. In 1993 he began collaborating with several art galleries, participating in art fairs, and collaborating with publishing houses like the German Rainermann, where he illustrated books, magazines and posters popular throughout northern Europe. He exhibited in Italian art galleries in Ferrara, Turin, Padua, Naples, Bologna and Genoa. Most noteworthy is his important personal exhibition held in 2004 at Villa Colombaia in Ischia, the residence of Luchino Visconti, dedicated to the director's cinematography. He also participated in important art fairs, such as Artissima di Torino and Arte Padova. He was likewise present in foreign galleries in Barcelona, Lugano, Vienna, and even in California, Belgium and the Principality of Monaco.
In 2011 he exhibited at the Bellini Museum in Comacchio (entirely dedicated to jazz) for a major Jazz festival. In 2015 he won the Estense award at the second Biennale of Modena. In 2017 he held an important solo exhibition in Vienna at the Trashart Gallery with which he started collaborating thereafter.
A sizeable exhibition at the Bellini Museum in Comacchio organized by the municipality of the same name is scheduled for 2018, in addition to already scheduled personal exhibitions.
