Daniele Cavaliero is a former basketball player from Trieste. On the court he played the role of guard, playing for various Italian basketball clubs, including: Pallacanestro Trieste, Olimpia Milano, Fortitudo Bologna, Air Avellino, Victoria Libertas Pesaro and Pallacanestro Varese.

On 16 June 2018, Daniele Cavaliero achieved an important victory with Pallacanestro Trieste 2004, winning the Serie A2 championship in an extremely hard-fought match against Casale Monferrato. In that decisive game, he proved his worth becoming the MVP of the game, scoring 23 points. Cavaliero stayed with the team until his retirement in August 2022.
