Dampyr - Two boards by Nicola Genzianella.

Genzianella was born in Milan on January 15, 1967.

From 1986 to 1989 he attended the School of Comics in Milan. Among his teachers were Aldo Di Gennaro, illustrator and cover designer of Rizzoli and cartoonists of Sergio Bonelli Editore Angelo Stano (cover artist of Dylan Dog) and Giampiero Casertano (designer of Martin Mystère).

Together with three classmates from the School of Comics - Andrea Cortellazzi, Livio Cazzulani and Antonio Mola - he formed the ALAN artistic group. Together they produced in 1990 the first post-apocalyptic role-playing game in an Italian setting.

Between 1994 and 1997 he worked for the magazine Intrepido, until its closure, putting his name to the illustrations for the series I Crononauti and No exit. He also illustrated an episode of the History of Humanity in comics for De Agostini.

In 1998 he joined Il Giornalino delle Edizioni Paoline, with the Jobhel series, which was followed by the stories of John XXIII, St. Valentine and that of the Modern Olympics.

Also from '98, after a break in 1990, he returned to Sergio Bonelli Editore to work on the newborn horror series Dampyr, a publication that made him known to the public of readers and for which he still works today. His first story for the character created by Mauro Boselli and Maurizio Colombo was called From the darkness.

In 2006 he began his collaboration with the Belgian publishing house Dupuis, for which he created the second volume of the Bunker series, released in January 2008. The publication received recognition of the Le Brique award, at the BD festival in Toulouse, as the best science fiction comic of the year.
