The route for the Giro di Lombardia 2020 has been confirmed. Despite the date change, which sees the race scheduled for August 15th, instead of autumn as usual, the route remains unaltered.
Starting from Bergamo with arrival in Como after 243 kilometers. The most interesting uphill sections will be Colle Gallo, Colle Brianza, the characteristic Ghisallo, Colma di Sormano, followed by Muro di Sormano (2 km at 15%), before the grand finale with Civiglio and San Fermo della Battaglia.
The last 10 km that begin in the center of Como, lead the race down wide avenues to the railway underpass where the final climb of San Fermo della Battaglia begins. The hill is around 7% (max 10%). You go through several hairpin bends until you reach the brow at around 5 km from the finish. The descent on the wide road brings the cyclist to the last kilometer.
