"Alfonso Clerici travels a lot, for business and pleasure, but also out of sheer passion, and as he makes his way around the world, once he has reached his destination he is the habit of taking out a drawing pad and starting to paint.

He works in watercolor, pastel and tempera, and his paintings often suggest or reger to specific geographical locations. "Alfonso Clerici voyage beaucoup, pour les affaires et le plaisir, mais aussi par pure passion, et au fur et à mesure qu'il fait le tour du monde, une fois arrivé à destination, il a l'habitude de sortir un carnet à dessin et de commencer à peindre. Il travaille à l'aquarelle, au pastel et à la détrempe, et ses peintures suggèrent ou font souvent référence à des lieux géographiques spécifiques. Les œuvres qu'il produit sont pleines d'immédiateté, d'instinct, et parfois même, elles vous prennent au dépourvu : qui aurait cru qu'avec le nouveau millénaire en marche, l'art pouvait encore se plonger dans les représentations de la mer, des couchers de soleil, des horizons ?
