Rare Vintage Original 1971 Cow Screen Print
Among his most iconic artworks, Warhol exhibited his Cow Wallpaper for the first time in conjunction with a 1966 exhibition of his work at the Leo Castelli Gallery. Later he created three different versions.
About the artist:
Andy Warhol, founder and leading figure of American Pop Art, was born in 1928 the son of a Russian family in Pennsylvania. He began his career as an artist creating advertising graphics. Already in 1956 he presented his graphic works at the Museum of Modern Art. In the early 1960s Warhol began experimenting with different techniques and began to focus on typically American consumer objects, such as Campbell's soup cans or Coca Cola bottles. His renowned studio 'The Factory' has been a meeting point for internationally successful artists, actors and musicians.
