Oscar-Claude Monet, born in Paris on November 14, 1840 and died in Giverny on December 5, 1926, was a French painter, considered one of the founders of French impressionism and certainly the most consistent and prolific of the movement. His works are distinguished by the representation of his immediate perception of the subjects, in particular as regards landscape and painting en plein air.
