I break up worlds and then reassemble them in an attempt to find a new possible way of seeing the world in which gravitational rules, in that particular portion of space of the canvas, can be reversed.

Luca Zarattini was born in Codigoro in 1984. He lives and works between Ferrara and Rome. Luca is above all linked to the artistic world with painting as his main means of expression and communication. Inexhaustibly curious, he expresses himself through other media such as sculpture, installation, video and music, combining his pictorial activity with experimenting with images on unconventional supports.

Bodies, faces, still lifes and domestic interiors converse and come to life on iron plates left to transform by the slow action of time, on industrial plastic layers treated with a blowtorch used as a brush; on wooden boards, prepared with building materials such as cement, stucco, glues and wax.
