Before joining Sator, Matteo Arpe accrued twenty years of experience that saw him enter the highest realms of the Italian banking and finance system. After gaining a degree in Economy he began his career at Mediobanca and swiftly rose up through the ranks to become  head of capital market activities at just 33. He subsequently joined the Banca di Roma group, as Managing Director of MCC-Mediocredito Centrale and the following year he was named General Manager of its parent company Capitalia, the country's third biggest bank group, becoming Managing Director for the group in 2003.

More recently, he has conceived and founded Tinaba. Tinaba is the first Italian fintech to have developed a digital ecosystem that is capable of managing, transferring and sharing money, as well as offering multichannel buying experiences and innovative banking services.
