Since the Sixties Massimo Marchesotti has participated in collective and personal exhibitions that have brought the artist both national and international recognition. In 1971 the President of the Chamber of Deputies awarded him the Gold Medal at the International Competition of Contemporary Art.

Later he began to concentrate on delving into the condition of man in society, a theme that has stayed with him throughout his career.

He has held solo exhibitions in Milan, Verona, Siena, Barcelona, ​​Lisbon, Berlin, Trento, New York, Rome, Venice, Sydney and in several other cities in France and Denmark. Fascinated by the light of Northern countries, he has been studying its landscape and shapes for almost twenty years, leading him to create intensely powerful oil paintings, drawings and watercolors. Several Danish galleries have noticed his painting and exhibited his works.
