Bottle of Côtes du Rhône, 1966 - JD.
Vintage wine is not to be considered as a product to be tasted, but as an emotion to give that brings with it the memories of a past time.
It is first and foremost a collector's work, with high antiques value and only later, if you are lucky, a wine to taste.
All vintage wines are subject to a multitude of variables that condition aging with the passing of time so as not to guarantee drinkability, the only way to understand they are still drinkable is to uncork them.
The Rhone River (Rhône) originates in the Swiss Alps, crosses French territory and finally flows into the Mediterranean near Marseille. The wine area is divided into two parts, the Northern Rhône Valley and the Southern Rhône Valley, approximately 50 kilometers apart.
The Northern Rhône Valley is home to the region's two most important appellations: Côte-Rôtie and Hermitage, whose wines have allowed the region to compete with the most renowned Burgundy and Bordeaux products.

Please note: Preserved professionally for over 50 years in a special cellar, this is a collector's bottle, therefore the quality of the wine cannot guaranteed.
