Vintage wine is not to be considered as a product to be tasted, but as an emotion to give that brings with it the memories of a past time.
It is first and foremost a collector's work, with high antique value and only later, if you are lucky, a wine to taste.

All vintage wines are subject to a multitude of variables that condition aging with the passing of time so as not to guarantee their drinkability, the only way to understand if they are still drinkable is to uncork them.

At the beginning of the 20th century, Montalcino was no more than a tranquil village of the Tuscan countryside: a few houses, shops and vineyards. The terrains of the Tenute Silvio Nardi have shared in the history this area. Two estates, two slopes, West and East eight plots, several terroirs...

The finesse and identity that Sangiovese grosso expresses in each vineyard of the two estates, so different in their soils and climates, are undeniable.

Intense ruby red colour with garnet highlights. Clean, sophisticated, intense and complex AROMAS, rich in evolved overtones, with hints of anise, ripe wild berries and a light touch of vanilla. Warm with supple tannins, great structure, good length and considerable aging capacity.
