Banksy Exhibition postcards 'From Crude Oils' Set of 10
Crude Oils was Banksy's second major exhibition, following Turf War in 2003. It debuted at 100 Westbourne Grove in London. It featured 20 different versions of classic oil paintings by Van Gogh, Hopper, Warhol, Turner, and Monet.
This set also includes a postcard of "Show me the Monet." Sotheby's auctioned off the original painting "Show me the Monet" for GBP 7,551,600.
Crude Oils was a “gallery of re-mixed masterpieces, vandalism and vermin” and ran for a over a week in a small shop at 100 Westbourne Grove, London finishing on Monday 24th October 2005.
About Banksy
Known for his anti-authoritarian art, often done in public places, Banksy is an anonymous graffiti artist who merged graffiti art with installation and performance art.
