About the artwork:

AdalgisArt tapestries are born in 2018. The artist has always loved to look for vintage fabrics, accumulating them in his studio. Almost all tapestries are made with knots of fabrics from the 60s and 70s.

In the knot there is all the manual work that brings back memories and not to forget. Almost all of them revolve around the theme of memory, of the past. From these memories emerge wars, emigrations, feminicides, child brides etc.. Adalgisart combines knots with boats even if the material is different but brings the concept back to a common story: the speed of navigation is measured in knots and each knot represents not forgetting what surrounds us. To the credit, the tapestries have been displayed more than 15 times between exhibitions, shows and competitions. Last exhibitions 2019 Paratissima Torino and 2020 Museo Nazionale Etrusco, Villa Giulia, Rome.

About the artist:

Adalgisa de Angelis (from Salerno) defines herself as an experienced artisan and an artist with a big heart. She works almost exclusively on fiber art and pop art, dedicating herself to important themes such as human suffering and inner "navigation", resulting in creative and composite works.

Her professional and artistic career is full of enriching experiences in Italy and Europe.
