Antonio Cabrini (Cremona, 8 October 1957) is an Italian football manager and former player, who played as a defender. Considered one of the first modern full-backs, as well as one of the greatest players in the role worldwide, he linked his name mainly to Juventus, a team in which he played for thirteen seasons between the 70s and 80s, becoming captain in the seasons 1988 and 1989. Together with the goalkeeper Dino Zoff, Gaetano Scirea and Claudio Gentile, club teammates and Italy teammates, Cabrini was part of one of the best defensive line ups in the history of football. With Juventus he totaled 440 games and 52 goals, winning six scudetti, two Italian Cups and all the major UEFA club competitions: the first player, together with Scirea, to reach this milestone.
He played 73 games for the national team, scoring 9 goals, making him the highest scoring defender in the history of the Italian team. He became world champion with the Italian national team in 1982. Candidate for the Ballon d'Or several times, he finished 13th in 1978. In 2022 he was inducted into the Italian football Hall of Fame.
