About Alfredo Persichilli:

Alfredo Persichilli, graduated at 17 years old with highest grades and distinction with Maestro George Schultis.

He has performed actively all over the world playing the most significant concerts for cello and orchestra (Schumann at Tonhalle in Zurich ,Variazioni Rococò by Tchaikovsky in Basel and Brema, Haydn in Budapest).

He also performed several pieces of contemporary music, both classic and avant-garde (Petrassi, Sciarrino, Lombardi, Boccadoro, Holliger, Sollima). Some of these expressly dedicated to him.

After winning in 2007 the post at Fondazione Teatro alla Scala in Milan has, ever since, worked there as first cello with the orchestra of the theatre and Filarmonica della Scala.
