The Prize

Learn to create phenomenal cuisine in a fun, relaxed setting at The Raymond Blanc Cookery School. Led by the cookery school director Mark Peregrine and a team of talented chefs, a full day cookery class provides a hands-on opportunity to finesse your culinary skills, build nutritional knowledge or master a show stopping dessert.

The prize winner can choose Patisserie, Treasures of the Sea (fish and seafood), Blanc Vite (simple and seasonal dishes), Garden to Plate, Seasonal Dinner Party Cooking and more. The full-day cookery class includes a course completion certificate and an informal lunch with fellow classmates.

Tucked away in the picturesque Oxfordshire countryside, Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons is the vision of its maître de maison, Raymond Blanc OBE. From the individually designed suites to the sublime gastronomical experience at its two-michelin-starred restaurant, Le Manoir offers the perfect place to celebrate a special birthday, wedding anniversary or any occasions to remember.

T&Cs: The prize includes a full-day cookery school course for two places. The prize can be redeemed on a Monday to Friday between March and June 2021. The day will include full tuition and equipment, refreshments throughout and an informal working lunch. The prize winner will receive a gift certificate containing a unique code. This Auction has been created in aid of the NSPCC by Walpole, the official sector body of British luxury, and its members.

The Cause

The NSPCC is the UK's leading children's charity, preventing abuse and helping those affected to recover. They help children who have been abused to rebuild their lives, protect those at risk, and find the best ways of preventing abuse from ever happening.

The NSPCC prevents abuse. They work with families when they're going through difficult times – like battling addiction or overcoming mental health problems. They offer all kinds of support – from helping new parents care for their baby to giving professionals the tools they need to assess neglect.

The NSPCC protects children. On average, a child contacts Childline every 25 seconds. Their counsellors are there to help parents, professionals and anyone worried about a child in the UK. They have conversations that mean they can protect children in abusive situations by getting them the help they need, when they need it most.

The NSPCC transform children's lives. If a law needs to change, or if more needs to be done to protect children, they demand it. The fact they’re independent – relying on our supporters to fund their work – means they can push for change when others can’t. They have remained committed to their mission for over 100 years and as long as there’s abuse, they will fight for every childhood.
