The diptych of Musa and Santambrogio is made up of 2 works each measuring 42.5x57.5 cm.
Created in 2013 in acrylic / cyanotype / silk-screen printing on paper. Framed.
The two artists, both linked to the city of Como, donated a diptych reproducing the 10 thousand lire banknote. The works show respectively the two sides of the banknote, the front with the nineteenth-century portrait of Alessandro Volta in the version sketched by Giovita Garavaglia. The banknote also features his most famous invention, the battery. On the reverse side is a reproduction of the Temple erected in Como, the birthplace of Volta, in 1927, on the occasion of the centenary of his death. The work is part of a group of works created for an exhibition entitled 120 VOLT (A) in May 2013 in Como.
Fabrizio Musa was born in 1971 and made his debut on the art scene in the second half of the 90s. His working method includes a multitude of techniques and has been linked to architecture on several occasions.
Enzo Santambrogio was born iin 1965 in Erba but lives in Zanzibar, he can be defined as an eclectic and versatile artist, his artistic career ranges from sculpture to photography, from design to painting.
