Take home this 1947 Piaggio Vespa "Numero 4156" 98CC, one of the oldest Vespa scooters in the world!
Known as the “Farobasso”, this model stands out because of its headlight mounted on the front mudguard. Unlike other Vespas, the handlebar of the Numero 3 did not have a sheet-metal covering.
Designed to withstand long journeys and common problems in post-war Italy such as punctured tyres, it is a much tougher vehicle than the later models which succeeded it. There are no rear shocks, but this function is provided by the springs in the saddle.
Get your hands on a symbol of Italy's post-war economic boom and an icon of Italian-made manufacturing and a fashion phenomenon.
