A magnum of Guidalberto 2010 Tenuta San Guido!

Obtained from the vineyards of Bolgheri, Tuscany, the Guidalberto is the younger brother of Sassicaia. There is plenty of energy and vitality in the glass, with dark red cherries, flowers, liquorice and a hint of tobacco for a textured finish.

Characteristics:

Grapes: 60% Cabernet Sauvignon 40% Merlot

Winemaking: Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature, with maceration that lasts for 15 days.

Harvest: The harvest has been beyond average in recent years, with harvesting operations beginning towards the end of September and ending in late October.

Aging: The wine is aged for 15 months in French oak barrels. Before being marketed the wine is aged for a further three months in the bottle.
