One limited edition 25th Years Double Magnum (3l) of 2010 Ornellaia

This auction lot will be closed at the Wine to Water silent charity auction on 30 November 2015. Please read the Live Bidding Conditions below for more information.

To celebrate the 25th Anniversary, each and every bottle of Ornellaia 2010 is decorated with a special logo, silk-screened in gold and ivory and are individually numbered.

The 2010 growing season will be remembered for being one of the latest in recent years. From budbreak on, in fact, the growth stages were some 10 days behind normal, and that slow pace continued through to the harvest. A rainy Spring was followed by a hot, dry Summer, which favoured optimal development of the clusters. A few rain showers interrupted the harvest in September, but adequate dry, sunny periods allowed the fruit to fully ripen. Painstaking vineyard management, and careful leaf-pulling in particular, ensured that the grapes were sound and healthy. Cool nights encouraged fine development of aromatic components, with the grapes displaying remarkably crisp fruit and floral qualities.

Bidding Conditions: This auction allows the user with the highest bid at the end of the online auction to obtain the right to participate by proxy at the Wine to Water gala silent auction on the 30 November 2015, where the item will be auctioned. The highest bidder from the silent auction at the event will be deemed the auction winner. The highest online bidder may give permission for CharityStars to bid on their behalf, up to a maximum amount which will have been set by the user. More information on how to bid will be given to the highest online bidder when the online auction has closed.

Their aim is to raise and allocate funds to carefully selected partner charities involved in helping children around the world with education, healthcare and support.

They only work with registered foundations/charities which are operationally lean and financially transparent. The RCRT Foundation seek impactful, measurable and inspiring projects which produce clear, demonstrable, lasting, life-changing results. They strive to fund between 50% and 100% of the projects’ requirements.
