Live Bid! Visit to LABIOMISTA with Meal at Peppe's for 10
You and 9 guests will enjoy a visit to LABIOMISTA and an exclusive tasting meal at Peppe's, including a caviar tasting by Imperial Heritage Caviar.
LABIOMISTA is situated in a former public zoo in the Belgian city of Genk. Literally meaning 'mix of life', it is in fact an all-encompassing art project which was set up as a model for the philosophical ideas on which Vanmechelen bases his work.
LABIOMISTA hosts Vanmechelen’s first Open University of Diversity and related foundations. The site is also where the artist's animals live and breed. It is both a laboratory and a library of biocultural diversity.
The World Food Programme (WFP) is the leading humanitarian organization fighting hunger worldwide, delivering food assistance in emergencies and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience. In 2017 the United Nations World Food Programme provided more than 18 million children with school meals.
In many countries, school meals are the only regular, nutritious meal a child receives each day. Costing WFP just € 0.20 each, school meals can improve children’s nutritional status and provide an extra incentive to send children, especially girls, to school and to help them to concentrate in class.
Whenever possible, WFP works with communities and local governments to source school meals from local smallholder farmers, thereby helping to boost the local economy.
