Untitled by Sir Terry Frost

Limited Edition Print 6 of 75, 1975, 89 x 71cm (in frame)

This auction lot will be closed at the silent Love & Life charity auction on Saturday 17 October 2015 at Watts Gallery – Artists’ Village. Please read the Live Bidding Conditions below for more information.

Sir Terry Frost RA (1915 – 2003) was an English abstract artist who began painting whilst a prisoner of war in Germany in 1943. He lived and worked largely in Cornwall and Yorkshire. From the 1960s onwards Frost’s work became increasingly interested in colour as a presence or character in itself. The characteristic style of his style created looped and heaped weights of colour that seemingly bulge from his canvases, sometimes later becoming three-dimensional in his collages or sculpture.
