Mison is a young German-Korean artist. Originally from Berlin, she attended the Fine Arts Diploma Program at the Kunsthochschule in Kassel, Germany. Her work lies somewhere between figurative and abstract painting, with a strong emphasis on artistic research that includes historical, political and sociological themes, in which architecture becomes the protagonist. Various digital spheres play a key role in her artistic investigation, finding a new expression in her canvases, the most analogical medium par excellence.

The Hybrid Crane series highlights the contrast between the mighty structure of cranes, giant constructions, and the intertwining of their composition, forming a complex filigree that is apparently fragile and light. It also underlines a process of abstraction of a common object to analyze its forms, attractiveness and unlimited aesthetic possibilities through a fascinating deconstruction of the starting subject. The result obtained is full abstraction that recalls the world of insects, reinterpreted using bright and unrealistic colors in contract with the natural world. The Hybrid Crane series of prints developed a second project which led to the creation of a tapestry made with digital Jacquard-weaving technology.
