"Tropical Sights" #13 by Caroline Gavazzi.

Tropical Sights is a series of abstract, impressionist photographs that explore the world of tropical plants living behind glass. Caroline has photographed a number of plants held in a greenhouse that both protects and imprisons them, depending on your point of view. With her delicate and poetic approach, Caroline Gavazzi captures the atmosphere of a mysterious world that vibrant vitality floats through, like a single sigh.

Caroline Gavazzi is an Italian/French photographer who studied photography at Spéos Photographic Institut in Paris and at the London College of Communication in London. After a successful career in commercial photography specializing in interiors and lifestyles, with regular features for international magazines such as Vogue, House & Garden and Country Living, Caroline shifted to creative photography in the early 2000’s. Currently, Caroline Gavazzi focuses on a genre of photography she classifies as Plastic, inspired by her culture and sensitivity.

The Cause

Dubai Cares is a philanthropic organization working to improve children’s access to quality primary education in developing countries. Launched in September of 2007 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, Dubai Cares expresses his desire to give children, regardless of their gender, nationality, race or religion, the opportunity to become positive contributors to society.

Dubai Cares is playing a key role in helping achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal, which aims to ensure inclusive and quality education for all and promote lifelong learning by 2030, by supporting programs in early childhood development, access to quality primary and secondary education, technical and vocational education and training for youth as well as a particular focus on education in emergencies and protracted crises.
