Win this sculpture by Giancarlo Defendi - FEMALE FIGURE – 1973.
A unique example that came about spontaneously, after having observed and studied the experiences of other artists.
The art critic Simona Bartolena attributes to Defendi a great ability to give his works a notable personality and an uncommon expressive force, which in this work are also determined by the forms that follow each other in its entirety.
Movement, elasticity and softness are in stark contrast to the static nature of the sculpture, and it is precisely in this contrast that the artist's strong personality is denoted.
The statue is made of terracotta and patinated in gold and bronze and measures 41 cm high.
Commercial value €3,500

Graduated in 1967 from the art school of Cantù, two years later he became a teacher of plastic disciplines at the artistic high school of Bergamo.
