Sadio Mané arrived at Anfield with an impressive record in the Premier League forged across two seasons at Southampton.

It was a magnificent debut season for Mané, resulting in him being named Liverpool's star performer for 2016-17 by both fans and teammates at the club's 2017 Players' Awards ceremony at Anfield.

In his debut campaign with the Reds, the Senegal international scored 13 Premier League goals in 29 appearances, injecting extra pace and creativity to Jürgen Klopp’s side before injury brought his year to a premature conclusion in April.

Mané was voted Player of the Season by supporters in an online poll and secured the accolade of Players’ Player of the Season – as chosen by the rest of the Liverpool first team.
