The Prize

Enjoy a personalised tour with your friends (exact numbers tbc), of the famous Broxbourne printing facility, the largest newspaper printing plant in the world.

Refreshments will also be provided.

With the capacity to produce over 1.1 million full colour copies every hour, Broxbourne is responsible for printing The Times, Telegraph, Metro, as well as the London Evening Standard and many other newspapers.

The Cause

The Stationers’ Foundation is the education charity of the Worshipful Company of Stationers and Newspaper Makers, the City of London Livery Company for the communication and content industries.

At primary school level, with a focus on literacy, we fund two Saturday Schools in greater London run by Civitas. At secondary school level, we support Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy in SE London, which specialises in digital media.

We also sponsor the annual SHINE Schools Media Awards, where students from across the country win awards for their school magazines and websites.

At further and higher education level, we support a number of apprenticeship initiatives in the media industry and provide postgraduate bursaries for students requiring financial assistance on programmes leading to careers in our industries.

Our aim is to make a difference to the lives of disadvantaged young people, whilst connecting them to the communications and content industries and to the work of our Livery Company.
