Certification: The work is certified by the artist son, Claude Picasso, as being authentic. The buyer acquires the original of this certificate which is signed and dated 27/01/2013.
Provenance: There is a written provenance of great interest which reads as follows: “Je sousignee MICHAEL Jeane, certifie que le double design de Picasso representing d’une cote un harlequin (d’un seul trait) - dimensions 10 x 15 cms - et l’autre cote 7 (sept_ chapeaux d’arlequin - dimensions 10 x 19 cm - non date, a ete achete directement a Picasso dans son atelier, par mon mari Marcel MICHAUD - Directeur de la galerie Folklore a Lyon - en 1943. Mon mari l’a remis en cadeau a notre fille Francoise DUPUY cette meme anne.” Signed and dated by Jeane Michaud 10th June 1991.
