Take home this exclusive bottle of 2014 Luce, produced by vintner Frescobaldi.

In 2014, the wine-growing zone experienced a regular spring, slightly warmer than normal, with periodic rains continuing throughout the summer which kept temperatures reasonable and not excessively high, avoiding problems of heat stress and providing abundant water reserves. This favored regular plant growth and later a consequently homogeneous and gradual ripening of the grapes, which at harvest time were intensely colored, rich in polyphenols and made for perfect, healthy grapes.

Luce 2014 is a deep ruby red with purple hues. It has a fresh aroma of black currants, mixed with cherries and elegant notes of cocoa and coffee. In the mouth emerges a fine, elegant taste of tannins which blends well with the fruity taste and gives the wine a unified, creamy and long-lasting aftertaste, ending on a delicately spicey note.

The Cause

Since 2005, Laureus Italia has been developing and supporting numerous projects aimed at minors living in situations of severe socio-economic deprivation, helping them to feel part of a community. The Foundation collaborates with more than 70 territorial realities and involves over 30 Ambassadors, sports champions and more. In addition to supporting minors in difficulty, the Laureus Italia Foundation also caters to coaches, educators and teachers through training courses.

The Laureus Foundation, in fact, uses sport as a tool for the inclusion and contrast of educational poverty to accompany minors in their growth path. The activities take place in the outskirts of Italian cities including Milan, Rome, Genoa, Naples, Catania, Palermo and Turin and involve and support over 3000 children in the practice of 20 different sports activities, including football, basketball, surfing, judo and many others.
