Marinella Tie from the "Archivio" collection.
A dive into the past, in a century-old history roots: the "Archivio" collection, created with patterns designed between 1930 and 1980 and recovered today, has allowed the creation of real collector's items. Hand printed on silk finer than usual (16 ounces, as was used more than half a century ago), later worked by our workshop for the production of ties, the patterns were found by Maurizio Marinella in one of his travels in the heart of England, where since 1914 his grandfather Eugenio and then his father Luigi went personally to choose the patterns with which the shirts and ties are made.
The historic Neapolitan brand has now taken part in the new film by director Francesco Patierno, "Naples'44", based on the literary success of the same name by Norman Lewis, with narration by film star Benedict Cumberbatch E. Marinella has decided to present the limited edition "Napoli 44" tie from the "E.Marinella Archivio" collection using a pattern realized in 1944, presented by E.Marinella in Rome, in conjunction with the Cinema Festival where the "Naples'44" film will have its world premiere.
The "Archivio" collection allows the customer to choose his own fabric to create a custom tie.
