The Prize

Explore an award-winning theatre with a backstage tour and see what happens behind the scenes! Your tour will cover the Front of House, the auditorium, the backstage, the Green Room, the wardrobe, the offices and the Portrait Wall.

In addition, we are delighted to offer two tickets to a Company show of your choice (subject to availability).

Situated up on Hope Street, between the two cathedrals, the new Everyman opened in March 2014 to great acclaim from audiences and critics, winning the 2014 RIBA Stirling Prize for Architecture. Accessible and environmentally sustainable, the new theatre combines the trademark wrap-around auditorium and basement bistro with many new facilities. Light, open front-of-house spaces and a pavement café; rehearsal and workshop facilities; a dedicated space for the theatre's work with young people and community groups; and a workspace for writers allows the whole building to be a vibrant, creative hub, by day and night. A beautiful façade, representing the people of Liverpool, expresses the fact that this is truly an Everyman for everyone.

The Cause

The IntoUniversity North Liverpool centre in Anfield is a collaboration between the University of Liverpool, the LFC Foundation and education charity IntoUniversity. The centre will provide 1000 local young people each year with a programme of personal and educational support which will enable them to succeed at school and beyond. With the support of the LFC Foundation, and inspired by engagement with a leading Premier League football club, young people will be motivated to overcome barriers to their future success. Through visits to the University of Liverpool, mentoring from university volunteers and specialist input from university academics, young people will have exceptional opportunities to focus and develop their knowledge and ambitions. The centre, which is based at Anfield Business Centre, will provide weekly after-school academic support during term time, one-to-one mentoring and will work with local primary and secondary schools to provide programmes that nurture young people’s aspirations. The centre’s work is distinctive because IntoUniversity starts working with children as young as seven, supporting them over the long term in order to achieve a university place or another chosen aspiration.
