In the last stage of the 2023 Giro d'Italia, Rome, Mark Cavendish – who at the age of 38, after a legendary career, has already announced his retirement at the end of the season – crossed the finish line first thanks at one of his famous sprints. His bike was equipped with limited edition pink Vittoria Corsa PRO tires – in honor of and in collaboration with the Giro d'Italia.

Mark signed the tires as a sign of gratitude to Vittoria and the Laureus Foundation.

To celebrate the launch of Vittoria Corsa PRO during the Giro d'Italia, the company presented a limited edition version with pink sides, the iconic color of the Giro d'Italia.
In the final stage in Rome, an unprecedented touch of pink featured on the bikes of Alpecin-Deceuninck, Astana-Qazaqstan and EF Education–EasyPost. Rigoberto Uran, Mark Cavendish, Kristian Sbaragli and teammates raced on the coolest tires.
This limited edition version of the Corsa PRO was created under license from the Giro d'Italia and has been snapped up by all the competition lovers in the world. Only 1000 specimens were produced and they immediately became real collector's items.

The Cause

Since 2005, Laureus Italia has been developing and supporting numerous projects aimed at minors living in situations of severe socio-economic deprivation, helping them to feel part of a community. The Foundation collaborates with more than 70 territorial realities and involves over 30 Ambassadors, sports champions and more. In addition to supporting minors in difficulty, the Laureus Italia Foundation also caters to coaches, educators and teachers through training courses.

The Laureus Foundation, in fact, uses sport as a tool for the inclusion and contrast of educational poverty to accompany minors in their growth path. The activities take place in the outskirts of Italian cities including Milan, Rome, Genoa, Naples, Catania, Palermo and Turin and involve and support over 3000 children in the practice of 20 different sports activities, including football, basketball, surfing, judo and many others.
