World NTD Day

January 30, 2021 will mark the Second Annual World NTD Day, highlighting the global community’s commitment to ending Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) that cause immeasurable suffering among the world’s most marginalized communities.

NTDs are a group of 20 preventable infectious diseases that place a heavy burden on more than 1.7 billion people around the world and typically affect the most vulnerable and difficult-to-reach populations. NTDs debilitate, disfigure, can be fatal and keep families trapped in cycles of poverty. But with the right treatment and interventions, NTDs can be prevented, controlled and in many cases, eliminated or eradicated entirely.

World NTD Day will culminate a month-long series of meaningful advocacy and fundraising activities in support of efforts to end NTDs. To mark this special day, Charity Stars is featuring more than 40 unique auction items and memorabilia for people to bid for and thus contribute to combating NTDs.
At a time when our world has more empathy and awareness of the threat of infectious disease, we hope that you will bid generously and support our collective work to end diseases that are entirely preventable and to free the next generation from a lifetime of fear and poverty. Your generous act of donating will help us attract the necessary support that communities living with the daily threat of NTDs deserve.

We wish to thank you in advance for your contribution and for joining us on this global day as we work together to ensure a brighter future for all.
