She’s Eve Project

She’s Eve, Circular Project

She's Eve is about the consciousness of your body, the environment and dignity.

She’s Eve is a circular project, with a positive impact on women and girls around the world.
The process begins with the use of end-roll fabric from high fashion brands to make the pads and their leather off-cuts to make sanitary pad carriers.

When you buy one you are also giving one to the charity Padding Africa, which distributes sanitary pads to schools in rural areas in Southern Africa. Money and donations also go towards creating women's sewing groups, supplying them with machines, fabric and training to sew pads for the women and girls in their local communities. Fashion waste is a huge pollution issue. Traditional recycling is often impossible, and so the fabric and leather is incinerated instead.

We take these high quality off-cuts from the world's leading fashion houses to make pads and pad carriers that are fun and fashionable as well as functional.
Sanitary pads are a significant ecological issue too. Their components can be toxic not only for our bodies but also the environment. One pad can contain up to an equivalent plastic of four plastic bags and take up to 800 years to decompose. Pads are often not disposed of properly and can end up in landfills, rivers and oceans - around 10% of plastic found on beaches are sanitary products. 50 billion sanitary pads are thrown away each year in North America alone.
