Official Rules

The Be Jürgen Klopp for a Day Promotion begins at 9:00 a.m. GMT on February 3, 2017 (the “Promotion Start Date”) and ends at 10:59 p.m. GMT on March 1, 2017 (the “Promotion End Date”) (such period referred to herein as the “Entry Period”). The Promotion (as defined below) consists of a sweepstakes. The Promotion is sponsored by VIP4Aid, (the “Sponsor”). 

 

  1. Entry. NO PURCHASE OR DONATION NECESSARY TO ENTER OR CLAIM PRIZE. NEITHER A PURCHASE NOR DONATION WILL INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. Participants may enter the Prize Draw by visiting the raffle page at http://www.charitystars.com/raffle/be-jurgen-klopp-for-a-day-en (the ‘promotion website’) and clicking on the relevant Prize Draw, during the promotion period and donating to the Liverpool FC Foundation (the “Charity”), by following the on-screen prompts. If you donate £5 you will receive 5 entris; £25 you will receive 25 entries and a thank you e-card from Jürgen; £50 you will receive 50 entries and a Klopp Normal One men's medium t-shirt; £50 you will receive 50 entries and a Klopp Normal One men's XL t-shirt; £75 you will receive 75 entries and a LFC current season men's medium shirt; £500 you will receive 500 entries and an LFC current season shirt signed by the LFC First Team; £4000 you will recieve 4000 entries, play golf with two Liverpool Legends at the Royal Liverpool Golf Club, Hoylake and receive two hospitality tickets for the LFC Legends vs Real Madrid Legends Charity Game; £7000 you will recieve 7000 entries and become a mascot for the LFC Legends vs Real Madrid Legends Charity Game; £10000 you will recieve 10000 entries and you and a guest will play golf with two Liverpool Legends, have lunch with the LFC Legends team and attend the LFC Legends vs Real Madrid Legends game as VIPs. The User must have a valid method of payment to enter by this method. The User’s submissions must be received during the Entry Period. To enter without a donation the User should fill out and mail in this form. The envelope must be post marked no later than the last day of the Entry Period and must be received by CharityStars no later than 5 working days after the deadline. Enter as many times as you wish, but each entry must be mailed separately.

  2. Prize. In addition to the donation level gifts identified in Section 1 above, one (1) winner and one (1) guest will receive travel to and accommodation (if required) in Liverpool up to an amount of £2000. They will be given a guided tour of the Melwood facilities and Jürgen Klopp's private office. They will get to watch the First Team training and meet the players, have lunch with Jürgen Klopp and play a game of paddle tennis with him on his specially designed court at Melwood. The winner and guest will have photo opportunities and take home signed shirts (collectively, the “Sweepstakes Prize”). The date of the experience will be determined by Liverpool Football Club subject to diary availability. All expenses, travel, and other costs not expressly stated in the foregoing Sweepstakes Prize package description are the sole responsibility of winner, including transportation to and from the airports. Restrictions, conditions and limitations may apply. Lost, mutilated, or stolen tickets, vouchers or certificates will not be replaced. Sponsor is not responsible if the Sweepstakes Winner does not use any event tickets on day of the applicable event. The prize cannot be substituted or transferred, except by CharityStars at their sole discretion. Each winner of a prize or recipient of a donation gift is responsible for reporting and paying all taxes associated with his/her receipt of such prize or donation gift. Sponsor will withhold and/or report taxes as required by the applicable law of Sponsor’s jurisdiction and winner’s jurisdiction. The winners will not receive the difference between the actual retail value and approximate retail value. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value. No other substitution or transfer of prizes is permitted, and prizes cannot be redeemed for cash. Sponsor is responsible only for prize delivery and not prize utility.

  3. Liverpool Legend Reward Level. The golf experience will take place at Royal Liverpool, Hoylake on Friday 24th March starting at 9am. You must make your own way to the golf course. The football experience at the LFC Legends vs Real Madrid Legends Charity Game, Anfield will take place on Saturday 25th March. Kick-off is 3pm. Hospitality opens 3 hours before the game. All visitors are expected to be competent golfers who hold a current Club or Society handicap. As the Links provide a difficult test of golf, maximum handicaps allowed for visitors are: Men - 21, Ladies - 32. Proof of playing ability is required prior to play. On The Course: conventional golf wear is required and shirts should be tucked in. Shorts, if worn, should be tailored, knee length and may be worn with short white (only) sports socks. In The Clubhouse: golf wear can be worn throughout the Club until 6.00 pm, but shorts should not be worn upstairs at any time. Thereafter, jacket and tie (or equivalent dress for ladies) is required upstairs. There are restrictions on where golf shoes, caps and outer garments can be worn. Visitors are particularly requested to dress appropriately in the Dining Room. Denim jeans, cargo style trousers or shorts, beach wear, training shoes and round neck T-shirts are not permitted either on the course or in the Club House. In deciding what dress is acceptable or not, as for other sports, if apparel is specifically designed for golf or sold in the Club Professional’s shop, then it is likely to be acceptable. Members are requested to ensure that their guests comply with this guidance.

  4. YNWA Reward Level. The experience will take place at the LFC Legends vs Real Madrid Legends Charity Game on Saturday 25th March. Kick-off is 3pm. The mascot must be aged between 6 – 12 years. The mascot must feel comfortable being separated from their parent/guardian when they go into the tunnel 30 mins before kick-off. Please be aware it is very noisy. The mascot package includes: a complimentary LFC Foundation t-shirt (mascot to bring own black shorts and boots/trainers), complimentary snacks and drinks, complimentary match ticket for mascot and 1 x guest (must be an adult), photo opportunity with the players, complimentary copy of above pictures, mascot will walk out on the pitch with the team, complimentary match day programme, complimentary car park pass.

  5. Footballer Forever Reward Level. The golf experience will take place at Royal Liverpool, Hoylake on Friday 24th March starting at 9am. You must make your own way to the golf course. The football experience at the LFC Legends vs Real Madrid Legends Charity Game, Anfield will take place on Saturday 25th March. Kick-off is 3pm. Hospitality opens 3 hours before the game. You will recieve two seats in the Directors Box, with hospitality in the Boardroom, the most exclusive level at the stadium. That evening join both teams celebrating at the VIP exclusive after party. The Directors Box and Boardroom are the highest level of hospitality at Liverpool Football Club and you must act in a professional manner. The after party is a closed event. You must not disclose any details of its whereabouts to anyone or share anything on social media at the event. For this reward the participants must be over 18. Under 18s cannot attend the golf or the after party.

  6. Eligibility. The Promotion is only open to individuals who are at least fourteen (14) years of age at the time of entry. If a user under the age of eighteen (18) wins the prize, then they must be accompanied by an adult over the age of eighteen (18) with the sweepstake winner's parental consent. Regrettably, while anyone is free to make a donation to the Charity, residents of certain countries will be unable to enter in the Contest for a variety of reasons, which include local sweepstakes and contest laws and compliance legislation. These countries/provinces are Burma/Myanmar, Cuba, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, Quebec, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Qatar, Yemen and all African nations with the exception of South Africa. Other countries are void where prohibited. Entries are limited to individuals only; commercial enterprises and business entities are not eligible. By participating in the Promotion, each participant accepts the conditions stated in these Official Rules, agrees to be bound by the decisions of Sponsor and warrants that she/he is eligible to participate in the Promotion. Employees, independent contractors, officers, and directors of Sponsor, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion, and fulfilment agencies, and legal advisors, and their immediate family members and persons living in the same household, are not eligible to participate in the promotion. THE PROMOTION IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW and is subject to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

  7. Selection of Winners. Five (5) working days after the deadline of the Entry Period, CharityStars will select the Prize Draw winner. The Winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received by the Sponsor during the Promotion Period. The Winner will be notified by e-mail, or an another suitable means of communication, using the information provided to the Sponsor and will also be announced on the Promotion Website. CharityStars is not responsible for and shall not be liable for late, lost, misdirected or unsuccessful efforts to notify the winners. The winners agree to Sponsor’s use of her/his name, address, likeness, and/or prize information for promotional purposes in any medium without additional compensation to the extent permitted by law. Where lawful, the winners may be required to sign and return a Declaration of Compliance, Liability and Publicity Release. At CharityStars discretion, a background check may be performed which the Winner would have to pass in order to fulfil his or her reward. If any potential winner of the Sweepstakes is a Canadian resident he/she will be required to answer a time limited skill testing question without assistance, in order to be eligible to receive a prize. In the event any of the winners cannot be contacted, fails to sign and return the Declaration of Compliance, Liability and Publicity Release or fails provide any other requested information, does not accept the applicable prize within 72 hours of being notified by Sponsor, fails to answer the skill-testing question correctly (if applicable), the winner is ineligible, or the applicable prize or prize notification is not deliverable, potential winner forfeits the prize. In the event that a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, Sponsor will award the applicable prize to an alternate winner.

  8. Conditions. CharityStars, the charity and their respective agents, directors, officers, shareholders, employees, insurers, servants, parents, subsidiaries, divisions, affiliates, predecessors, successors, representatives, advertising, promotion, and fulfilment agencies, and legal advisors (the “Released Entities”), are not responsible for, shall not be liable for, and hereby disclaim all liability arising from or relating to: (i) late, lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, misaddressed, incomplete, or unintelligible entries; (ii) telephone, electronic, hardware or software program, network, Internet, computer or other malfunctions, failures, or difficulties of any kind, whether human or technical; (iii) failed, incomplete, garbled, or delayed computer or e-mail transmissions; (iv) any condition caused by events beyond the control of Sponsor; (v) any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of any prize, or any portion thereof that may have been awarded, or acceptance, possession, or use of any prize, or any portion thereof that may have been awarded, or from participation in the Promotion; or (vi) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Promotion. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend, modify or cancel the Promotion should any unauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond Sponsor’s control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the Promotion. In the event that proper administration of the Promotion is prevented by such causes as contemplated above, Sponsor will pick the winners from all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to such action. By participating in the Promotion, participants and winners agree to release, discharge and hold harmless the Released Entities, and all others associated with the development and execution of the Promotion, from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind arising out of or relating to the Promotion, participation in the Promotion, any prize, or any portion thereof that may have been awarded, and/or acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize, or any portion thereof that may have been awarded, including but not limited to statutory and common law claims for misappropriation or participant’s right of publicity. This Promotion shall be governed by UK law. By participating in this Promotion, participants agree that the British courts shall have jurisdiction over any dispute or litigation arising from or relating to this Promotion and that venue shall be only in the UK. If the winner is unable for whatever reason to attend the prize experience then the Sponsor may select another winner using the random number generator. 

  9. Winners list. The first name, last initial and registered country of the winners and a copy of these Official Rules will be available on the Promotion Website shortly following the Drawing Date and for ninety (90) days thereafter.

  10. Sponsor. The sponsor is VIP4AID Limited and is referred to in this document as CharityStars. VIP4AID Limited is registered at Birchim Court, 20 Birchim Lane, London, EC3V 9DJ, United Kingdom.

  11. Promoter. The Liverpool FC Foundation is an independent charity registered in England & Wales with The Charity Commission, Charity Number: 1096572. Registered Office: Anfield Road, Liverpool, England L4 0TH.

  12. Notice. Sponsor reserves the right to prosecute and seek damages against any individual who attempts to deliberately undermine the proper operation of the Promotion in violation of these Official Rules and/or criminal and/or civil law.
