Bruno Miguel Borges Fernandes, known simply as Bruno Fernandes, is a Portuguese footballer who plays as a midfielder for Manchester United, for which he is captain, and for the Portuguese national team, with which he won the 2018/19 UEFA Nations League. He made his professional football debut for Novara in Serie B in 2012. The following year he moved to Udinese, where he played for three seasons before moving to Sampdoria. After a season with the club, in 2017 he returned to his homeland and Sporting Lisbon, where he stayed until 2020, when he was bought by Manchester United.
