Following the recent natural disaster in Australia that saw over 10 million hectares of forest burnt and more than 1 billion animals killed due to fires and drought, Alessandro Malossi has decided to donate the artwork to support the charity work carried out by WWF Italy - Emergency Australia.
This unique artwork, measuring 110 x 130 cm, is a photographic print mounted between Plexiglas and DiBond. The koala portrayed in the work is made from a collage of various brands of sneakers including Yeezy and Balenciaga.
Born in 1993, Alessandro Malossi is an Italian illustrator, painter and tattoo artist. He was born with an eye for color and began to draw the irregular skyscape of the city of Bologna that he saw outside his window.
In 2016, Alessandro made another leap when his art met fashion and he started working for leading international brands. Led by Linda Santaguida, founder of EXITFINEART, Alessandro's dream found an outlet in what was to be an exhibition that went "outside the box". It was the first of many other European platforms to welcome the artist.
Alessandro has become the artist that all brands want. He digitally reproduces his own series of accessories that are brilliantly positioned on the market with the aim of creating a collection of "his animals". Each brand has its own animal: Gucci a parrot, Balenciaga an elephant and Dior a rhino, alongside many others.
