Aldair Nascimento do Santos, known simply as Aldair (Ilhéus, November 30, 1965), is a sports manager and Brazilian former footballer who played as a defender, world champion with the Brazilian national team in 1994. Considered one of the greatest defenders in the history of football, for thirteen seasons he played for Roma, winning an Italian Cup in 1990/91, the Scudetto in 2000/01 and an Italian Super Cup in 2001.
Called up to the senior national team from 2004 to 2009, he competed in the 2006 edition of the world championship, the 2008 European championship and the 2009 Confederations Cup.
