The Circle, founded by Annie Lennox in 2008, brings together women from all walks of life so that they can learn about the injustices and inequality facing many millions of women and girls around the globe, inspire, be inspired and ultimately take action to bring about change.

They believe in a world where women and girls are empowered, self-reliant, and able to influence the decisions that affect their lives.

They campaign and advocate for equal opportunities and the ability to realise fundamental rights, raise funds to support women's rights and work in partnership with like-minded organisations which are already doing exceptional work.

Over 100,000 women and girls in more than 16 countries have been supported by both the income raised by The Circle and the advocacy work it has undertaken. This includes supporting girls into education in India and Niger, enabling women farmers to have a livelihood in Sri Lanka, Malawi and Liberia, working to end violence against women in the UK and globally, making the argument that the living wage is a fundamental right for the millions of women working in the fast fashion industry and building a network for female journalists working in the conflict zones of the Middle East and North Africa.

The Circle's vision is equality for women and girls in a fairer world.
